PITTS VS. PREPS Begins Recording New Album

April 11, 2007

PITTS VS. PREPS — the Louisiana-based band featuring former EXHORDER/FLOODGATE and current ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY frontman Kyle Thomas — has issued the following update:

"April 6-8 we went in House of 1000hz studios in the 9th ward of New Orleans, Louisiana. Even though someone was shot around the corner, our sessions/crawfish boil were killer. Our new drummer Bryan Cox (ALABAMA THUNDERPUSSY) laid some serious, intense drum tracks. The whole tracking process got deeper than we thought due to the insanity of these new songs. We wanted the follow up to our 'Below and Beyond' record to be vicious. It will definitely deliver. However, we still have months of guitar and vocal tracking until we start mixing. We are very anxious to get this record out and to play this stuff on the road."

PITTS VS. PREPS has made its "Below and Beyond" CD available for purchase via CDBaby.com.

Thomas had previously said about PITTS VS. PREPS' musical direction, "It is centered around the truest sound of heavy metal in the realm of old JUDAS PRIEST and IRON MAIDEN."
